The short version. Your ledger is on your hardware. There is one place data does pass through a server of ours. It is named below, not buried.
Your ledger lives on your hardware
Moab Ledger runs on your machine and writes to a database you control. We do not host your books and we hold no copy of them.
The field apps are the exception
Use the companion phone or tablet apps and the records they collect pass through a sync server on the way to your desktop. Hours, loads, fuel, site data. That is how a phone in a truck cab reaches an office computer.
Those records are yours. They are held only as long as the transfer needs. The rest of your ledger never goes near it. TODO: state the retention window once decided
Licensing
The application checks in with our licensing service now and then. It sends an installation identifier and asks whether the license is still valid. That exchange carries no financial data.
Payments
Stripe handles card details. They never touch our systems. We receive the billing contact and the subscription status. That is what we need to issue and renew your license.
Support
Send us a file or a screenshot to diagnose a problem and we see what you chose to send. Nothing else.
TODO: retention periods, sub-processor list, and a data-request contact
