The founding-price lock

Your founding price covers Moab Ledger at its current scope and stays locked for as long as your license remains current.

Job costing, inventory, payroll, and trucking are coming. They are licensed separately at the prices in effect when they are released, and they are not covered by this lock.

TODO: lapse behavior — what happens to the lock if a license lapses and is later renewed — spec §7 requires this stated once you decide it.

Refund policy

Fourteen days, in full, no conditions. Email us within 14 days of purchase and we refund the license in full to the original payment method. We do not ask you to justify it and we do not deduct a fee from it.

Setup work already done is the one exception. If we have installed a network or cloud setup for you, that fee covers hours already spent and is not refunded. The license still is. We will say this before we book the work, not after.

Refunds are processed within 14 business days and may take a few more days to appear, depending on your bank.

You are not locked out of your own books. When a refund is issued the license is revoked, and at the next license check Moab Ledger drops to reports only. It does not stop opening, and it does not stop you looking.

What "reports only" means. Nothing that changes the books works: no transactions, no invoices or bills, no check printing, no payroll, no bank import, no period close. Everything that reads them does: every report runs, prints and exports, and a full backup can still be taken. It is the same state a subscription enters when it lapses and is not renewed, so a refund is treated exactly like the end of a term, just sooner.

When it takes effect. The license is revoked on our side when the refund is issued. Moab Ledger checks its license when it opens and every few hours while it is running, so the change reaches the application on that next check. A copy kept off the internet keeps its last known license only until that license's own expiry date, which is days, not months; the date cannot be dodged by changing the computer's clock.

The installer is not the license. Keeping or reinstalling the application after a refund does not restore anything. A fresh installation with no active subscription offers only the option to subscribe.

Nothing is deleted. Your books are on your own hardware and a revoked license does not touch them. Uninstalling the application does not remove them either. Reports export to PDF, Excel and CSV, and on a single machine the backup is one archive holding both the books and the documents. We hold no copy of your books on our servers, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete after a refund; the only record we keep is the subscription itself.

After 14 days the annual license is non-refundable and runs to the end of its term.

If something is broken, that is a defect, not a preference. Tell us. We would rather fix it or refund you than have you dispute a charge.
